Based on a recent survey, adults make up one in every three video game players. This startling fact is not lost on game design professionals, who have begun to create games that appeal to adults and kids alike. In what has become a high-tech bonding experience, adults are gaming with their kids. A new website, GamerDad.com, has released some startling discoveries about the gaming habits of families. Not only do adults share games with their kids, but they believe that playing video games actually brings the family closer together. Game designers have hopped onto this trend by introducing several game designs with adults in mind. This will no doubt boost the demand for games and serious game designers. Judging by this survey and recent cultural trends, video games are here to stay. That means a bigger demand for high quality games as well as for the designers who make them.
